Makes a fascinating comparison with the preceding lots. He wears a velvet vest and boots. Her wide-sleeved dress is of lighter striped cloth. This is a still-sealed 1/2 plate stamped A. B. Weekes, in a full case. The entry in Craig for Alexander B. Weeks [there spelled without the third 'E'] is interesting. He seems to have been an operator for Fredricks and Gurney. He was in NYC from 1846 - 54, then left for Toledo, and was in Detroit in 1856 - 58. The attire appears more mid-Western than NYC. There's a tiny wisp of something just to the left of her hair, not a green spot or anything that seems into the surface of the plate.
