Handwritten letter by an inmate at the Dachau concentration camp named Flak Stanislaus, born on January 3, 1898 and whose prisoner number was 12478 in block 27/3. Dated 10 November 1940 on official Dachau stationery, Stanislaus thanks his family for the money they sent. Stationery has printed instructions in German that translate, ''Petition for release to the guards is useless'' and ''Visitation and telephone rights are not allowed.'' Verso of letter bears the Dachau postmark. 3pp. letter measures 5.75'' x 8.25''. Light soiling and separation starting along fold. Very good condition.
