DWM Model 1906 Swiss Cross In Sunburst Contract Luger Pistol with Holster

This is an excellent example of a mid production range Swiss model 1906 military contract Luger pistol that was manufactured by the DWM factory. It has the distinctive Cross in Sunburst crest on top of the chamber and DWM monogram on the front toggle, with the scarce small size serial numbers. The extractor is correctly marked "GELADEN" and the safety area is correctly polished in the lower position with no markings. It has the distinctive fast taper barrel, grip safety, no stock lug, and flat toggles. It has the correct Swiss Cross on the underside of the barrel with the "Swiss Cross/V" and Swiss Cross, proofs on the left side of the barrel extension. The side rail is stamped "P61" indicating release for commercial sales. The full serial number "5194" is stamped on the barrel and frame, with the partial serial number "94" on the various parts. The pistol is complete with one original Swiss nickel plated magazine with an unmarked wooden base, with the metal disc on each side and an original 1906 pattern Swiss contract leather holster with original shoulder straps. The back of the holster is stamped "G.LEHMANN.SATTLER/BERLIN/08".

Excellent with 97% of the original blue finish overall, the various small parts retain 70% of their straw colors. The grips are excellent with nice distinct checkering on both sides. The holster is fine with a nice original light brown color overall with tight stitching and clear distinct markings on the back side. A nice example of an early 1906 Swiss Luger rig.
