PISTOL. Cal. 30 Luger. S# 13669. Bbl. 4 3/4". Model 1900 American Eagle Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM for commercial sales within the U.S. The bbl. extension is marked with a Great Seal of the United States over the chamber, with the toggle exhibiting the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Metal components exhibit a dull reapplied blue finish overall, with some small parts exhibiting a dull reheated straw finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Standard clipped blade front sight with fixed V-notch rear sight. Old Model breech block and dished toggle ears, with grip safety on rear strap. All serialized parts are matching in the proper commercial (hidden) fashion, with some parts including the takedown lever and sideplate appearing to have been renumbered to match at one time. Grips are matching via "69" on the interior of the panels. MAGS: 1 tinned 8-rd. mag. with diminutive flaming ordnance bomb proof on refinished wood plug. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their reapplied blue finish, showing some areas of light to mild edge wear, with light to mild pitting present beneath the finish overall. Front grip strap, top of bbl., and right side of frame rail show streaks of fading to gray patina. Dark bore, exhibiting consistent moderate pitting, while retaining trace rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show mild smoothing overall, with the left panel exhibiting a chip in the usual area to the right of the safety lever. (25-3478). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
