DWM Double Date 1920/ 1915 Naval Rework Luger Pistol
Produced in 1915 and reworked in 1920. The top of the chamber is marked "1920/ 1915" signifying the year of rework over the year of manufacture, and the toggle is correctly marked "DWM". A set of three "crown/ Gothic Letter" proofs are on the barrel extension next to the Imperial Eagle proofmark, which is repeated on the barrel and breech. Matching numbers and straw finished small parts. A unit marking on the front strap has been stippled over, and the backstrap has a "M/ (anchor)/ N.327" Nazi navy property marking. On page 145 of Axis Pistols Volume II by Still, the closest list number, N310, is listed as being on an 1920/ 1914 Navy pistol. Checkered grips and blue magazine with aluminum base.
