DWM Artillery Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol, #9789b, 9mm, 8'' barrel, blue finish with straw small parts, fine adjust front and rear sights, checkered walnut grips, with holster/shoulder stock, tool, and knurled nickel-headed cleaning rod. Chamber dated 1914, toggle link marked DWM, safety marked ''Gesichert'', extractor marked ''Geladen''. Condition is excellent retaining approx. 96% lightly thinning original rust blue with most of the losses at muzzle. Front and back gripstraps show condition in the mid- to high 90%. The top end of pistol is mismatched to the frame and sideplate carrying #772 and were probably switched early on in WWI in a squad cleaning session. Grips with mild flattening and oil darkening. Action remains crisp, bore is mirror bright. Holster/stock is marked #2682 and remains in very good condition with mostly clear proofmarks and some just post-WWI replaced parts, including top flap retainer and bottom retainer. Magazine pouch is present, although retaining strap has gone missing (just threads remain). A great high-condition Artillery as brought back. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (C&R)
