The top of the receiver is dated 1920 and the toggle is marked "DWM" for Deutsch Waffen Und Munitionsfabriken, the factory that produced this pistol. The left side of the barrel extension has the three crown over Gothic letter proofs above the serial number and the Imperial Eagle proof is marked on the left rear of the barrel. The bottom of the barrel has the correct four digit serial number along with the letter suffix. Most of the small components have the partial serial number "14" marked on them. The front of the frame is marked with the serial number and it is correctly marked "GESICHERT and GELADEN" on the safety and extractor respectively. The magazine is a correct nickel plated WWI version with a wooden base plate. Fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Condition: Fine. The pistol retains 70% of the arsenal blue finish with some wear and pin prick type pitting on the muzzle, high edge wear, a dull dark patina on the back strap and a smooth mottled dark gray patina on the front strap. 60% original straw color remains on the small parts with a smooth silver gray patina on the balance. The grips are very good. The left panel shows some moderate wear, there are a few minor dings overall and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
