The chamber is marked with the "1920" Reischwehr property stamp indicating compliance with the Versailles Treaty over "1915" the year that the pistol was made. These lugers have the rust blued finish on the metal parts with the straw colors on the various small parts wit checkered walnut. The front toggle is marked standard "DWM" logo. The Right side of the barrel extension is marked with the three Crown over Script proofmarks with an Imperial Eagle proof on the barrel. The underside of the barrel has the bore marks along with the serial number (6757) that is also stamped on the front of the frame and left side of the barrel extension. The remnants of the of the now absent magazine safety is located on bottom of the side plate and the front grip strap is stamped "S.mg. 657" and it is properly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" on the safety position and extractor. It is complete with a WWII type three, all blued, unmarked magazine with the aluminum base that is stamped "1/8470x".
BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue/straw colors
Grips: walnut checkered
Serial Number: 6757f
Condition: Very fine with 95% of the arsenal blued finish with only minor edge and high spot wear overall. The various small parts retain traces of their straw colors with slightly more color on the trigger itself. The grips are in very good condition with good intact checkering on both sides, showing wear across the tops of the checkering, however they have shrunk over time and are loose fitting. It has all matching numbers except the magazine as noted above and the grips which are unmarked. A nice example of a post-WWI double date police luger pistol.
