The pistol has a rust blue finish with straw-colored small components, checkered walnut grips and nickel-plated magazine with wooden base stamped "E.F. PURDY". This is an early production model 1906 American Eagle with the extractor marked "LOADED", the lower thumb safety area bright and the chamber marked with the American Eagle crest, and "DWM" on the toggle. Front of long (1900 style) frame is marked with the serial number and "GERMANY" and the barrel underside has "crown/B/G/U" proofs. Visible numbers on pistol match. Checkered walnut grips and back strap threaded for stock (non-factory).

Condition: Excellent as modified for stock (see above). The pistol retains 97% original blue finish showing some thinning and some minor edge wear. The small parts retain 75% original straw color. The grips are very fine with the exception of some very scattered very minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering.
