Please note that all bids placed through 3rd party platforms and not propstoreauction.com, will be subject to a buyer's expense of 5%.
Hand-drawn storyboard art, a script and books from the production and promotion of Pete Travis' sci-fi action film Dredd. These pieces come from the artist commonly known by his comics industry pen name "Jock". Jock began his career at 2000AD and worked on their flagship Judge Dredd comic book series, and has since created concept artwork for an array of feature films, including Dredd, Batman Begins, X-Men: Days of Future Past and many more. The lot consists of 100 pages of storyboard art covering the entire film, hand drawn by Jock and held together with metal bullclip; a 111-page production script with the film's working title of "Peach Trees"; a bound 106-page collection of printed storyboards; a loose collection of original storyboard art and designs for the poster font; and two autographed books.

The storyboard art is drawn onto large, thick paper in pencil and black pen, with some of the illustrations altered with white correction fluid. The storyboards feature no dialogue or camera movements, but do display a few additional production annotations. The script is bound with a plastic fastener and has been annotated in black pen with notes, as well as small pen and pencil sketches of Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) and the dystopian cityscapes of Mega-City One. The printed storyboards are also bound with a plastic fastener and feature a cover page with a printed colour illustration of Judge Dredd and a quote from Harry Knowles of Ain't It Cool News. The loose artwork includes 10 pages of hand-drawn storyboard illustrations showing the scenes set on the skatepark on the side of the tower block. There are also two unfinished illustrations and five pieces with designs for the poster font. The two books, both autographed in pen by Jock, are a paperback and a limited-edition hardback of "Dredd: The Illustrated Script and Visuals". The hardback is numbered "061/500".

The lot has some wear from production use and age. The script has some creasing, small tears and staining, while the storyboards have some small tears and staining. Dimensions (hand-drawn storyboard set): 42 cm x 30 cm x 2 cm (16 1/2" x 11 3/4" x 3/4"); (script) 30 cm x 21 cm x 1.5 cm (11 3/4" x 8 1/4" x 1/2"); (hardback book): 28.5 cm x 21.5 cm x 2 cm (11 1/4" x 8 1/2" x 3/4")
