An early draft script from the production of Stanley Kubrick's Cold War comedy Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. Dated "8/31/62", this script was shown to backers and investors, and is an early version of the story created before Kubrick brought in screenwriter Terry Southern, who spent six weeks making crucial revisions to the story in November 1962.

Bound in a black leather cover, the script consists of 141 unannotated pages, printed single-sided on white US Letter paper. The front of the document features a proposed cast list and a general notes page. A cream-coloured sticker is adhered to the front cover and features the film title. The lot displays minor signs of wear and age, including creasing, slight discolouration and light marks on the cover. Dimensions: 29 cm x 22.5 cm x 2 cm (11 1/2" x 8 3/4" x 3/4")

Estimate: 1,000 - 1,500 M
