This is one of only two known copies of this early version of the horror novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. All posters for this film are extremely rare and highly sought after.

The poster has minor fold wear and blemishes that have been touched up. There is minimal sporadic airbrushing along the borders. There is a small sliver chip just above the litho number in the lower right corner and a small chip within the artwork in the upper left corner. Additionally, there is a small chip on the bottom left of the Paramount logo. The poster has been professionally restored to present this classic rare style B in a truly phenomenal way.

Robert Louis Stevenson's novella, "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," was published in 1886 and has been a significant inspiration for filmmakers since the early days of cinema. The story revolves around a scientist who creates a serum capable of separating the good and evil sides of human nature. This movie adaptation is the first one with sound, featuring Fredric March and Miriam Hopkins. March won the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Dr. Jekyll. The film is also well-known for its cutting-edge special effects, particularly the transformation sequences.
