This pink satin Art Deco Glass powder jar is known as 'Dolly Sisters', after the famed vaudevillians and it is shown in Whitmyer - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years on page 41. Jenny and Rosie Dolly, were a Hungarian sister act who took Europe, and then America, by storm in the early 1900s. The powder jar measures about 7", with the lid, 5 1/2" without, 5" across the rim and 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" across the base. With the exception of a couple of nicks on the inside rim of the jar and a chip on one of the nubs and two chips on the other nub on the base [opposite the sisters] both the jar and its lid are in excellent condition.
