Seymour and Phiz [and two by R. W. Buss, to pp. 69-74]. Some illustrations with engraver indicated: E. Grattan, 51 Paternoster Row, [various dates] 1837. Both volumes with owner inscription: Miss Sayce(?) Kington. Volume I: i.-xiv. pp, 1-306 pp.; one frontispiece (no caption); one engraved title page, with "Weller" spelled "Veller" on the sign, and "PHIZ" under image; signature "E" on p. 25; Ch. V, p. 43 "ruined wall"; p. 260 "hodling his hand." Condition: Fair-Good; scuffing/scratching, edge/corner wear; dealer pencil notes free endpaper; a significant tear at gutter on p. 19 (approx. 2 1/4in.); several pages with small edge tears at bottom, small tears at gutter; toning/foxing.
