<B>DESERT MULE DEER SHOULDER MOUNT</B></I><BR><BR> <I>Odocoileus hemionus crooki</B></I><BR>The Desert Mule Deer has adapted to extremely harsh conditions - great heat, intense cold, meager forage, scarce water, and lack of vegetative cover. They are slightly smaller and paler in color than the Rocky Mountain Mule Deer, and most of them are found in the Trans-Pecos region west of the Pecos River, with the largest ones being found near Sonora, Mexico.
