The Armendaris Ranch is proud to offer two separate hunts during the same time frame for Desert Bighorn Sheep. Eighteen years since the introduction of animals to the Fra Cristobal Mountains, these free ranging, wild sheep will be hunted for a third time in October 2014.The actual hunt date is expected to be October 16-30, 2014.(subject to change) Our staff will provide the highest quality outfitted hunt possible with our crew of experienced guides. All of our guided rifle hunters on the ranch have taken record book rams with an average score of 174 B&C. Our ranch managers and company employees have been involved with this wild sheep program since the beginning our partnership with the WSF and the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. Wild sheep monitoring, research, and management have been a way of life for the Armendaris ranch personnel from the beginning. The hunt will be staffed and guided by ranch personnel with meals and housing provided. Hunters will be responsible for their transportation to the ranch (or Truth or Consequences airport), state license fees ($180 for resident and $3,249 for license & non-resident tag.(subject to change) Purchaser is responsible for the shipment of the cape and meat. Your primary contacts have enjoyed careers in the management of wild sheep and have hunted or guided for all varieties of North American wild sheep. We completely understand the importance of a hunt for this pinnacle game species and have confidence that you will have a successful hunt for a mature trophy ram.
Our hunting program is in cooperation with two additional public draw hunters that hunt during a DIFFERENT time frame each year. We have had a total of only two hunters at one time to date.

A 5% buyer’s premium will be added to the final bid price of each special permit sold, unless prohibited by statute. Proceeds will be dedicated to WSF Conservation Initiatives. If the winner of this item refuses to pay the premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid.
