DECORATED BLANKET CHEST.
Possibly Henry Lapp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, 1862-1904, poplar. Large size, with a chest over two drawers, interior walnut till, and resting on turned feet. Retains its original oak graining and cast hardware. 27 1/2"h. 50"w. 25 1/2"d.
The use of walnut for the till only, the glue blocking on the drawers, as well as the profile of the waist molding are similar to Lapp's work.
