<B>DAWSON DAWSON-WATSON (1864-1939)</B></I><BR><I>Hillside with Cactus,</B></I> 1936<BR>Oil on canvas laid on masonite<BR>16in. x 21in.<BR>Signed and dated lower right<BR><BR>A British-born artist who achieved great success in the United States, particularly in Texas, Dawson Dawson-Watson trained in London and Paris before moving to America with his wife in 1890. After tenures in New York and Missouri, he settled in San Antonio in 1926 and was active in the art community.
