Additional Information: This original work is hand signed in pencil by the artist "Hockney" in the lower right margin.
It is hand numbered in pencil "AP XV" (Artist Proof 15) in the lower left margin. This proof was printed aside the limited edition of 100 impressions.

This etching was originally part of the series "The Illustrations for Six Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm" that was composed of 39 etchings printed in 1969 all inspired by the Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm. The Boy Hidden in a Fish relates to the tale "The Little Sea Hare" in which a young man transformed himself into a hare to marry a princess.
