The last of the big-time movie moguls from Hollywood’s golden age, the Twentieth Century-Fox producer was the force behind box office successes like <i>The Grapes of Wrath</i> (1940); <i>How Green Was My Valley</i> (1942); and the D-day epic, <i>The Longest Day</i> (1962). Two SPs, b/w, 8"x10" portraits, one as the young vice president —in charge of 20th Century Fox, adding “<i>Jan 6th 1938</i>”; and a three-quarter length outdoor portrait of the older producer, partially signed across a dark area of image with poor contrast. Overall VG.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.
5. The Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot for any

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.
