D. Schulnigg, Austria side by side shotgun, cal. 20 Gauge, Serial #40-1160. The shotgun is in overall excellent condition. The 28” barrels retain nearly all of their blued finish with a full length, filed rib and silver bead frontsight. The action is finely relief engraved in French gray with gold inlayed game scene of game birds and pointer. The finely checkered, custom stocks are beautifully done in highly figured, exhibition grade English Walnut, with 15” lengthof pull. A horn grip cap, butt plate and engraved screw heads all compliment the outstanding wood. The bores are fine, action tight and markings sharp on this outstanding shotgun. A magnificent shotgun done in theFerlach style that would that would be extremely expensive to duplicate at today’s rates. (C+R/PPT). Est.: $6,000-$12,000.
