D. H. Gillespie percussion derringer, circa about 1850s-60s, in near mint original condition. The derringer measures 6-1/2" overall, with 2-5/8" barrel of .41 cal., 6-groove rifled. The barrel shows most ofits original brown just thinning slightly at the edges; the lock, breech and tang show 90-95% case hardening. The stocks are near excellent with 95% varnish, some minor scratches, slight imperfections. Themarkings are sharp, the action is crisp, the trigger guard shows 75-85% case hardening. A sharp and crisp gem of a derringer which would be difficult to improve upon. Est.: $4,000-$8,000

We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Preview on October 27th 7 28th 9:00 to 11:00 am each day.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
