<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899>Award given to Commander Lawrence Woodsworth Snell, US Naval Reserve, by the President “<i>For meritorious service as commanding Officer of the United States Naval Advanced Amphibious Training Sub-Base, Fowey, England, prior to the assault upon the continent of Europe, June 1944. Supervising the operations, training, maintenance and logistics support of his base, Commander Snell completed the combat loading of all landing ships and craft and dispatched them for the invasion of Normandy on time and in full operational condition.</i>..” Boldly signed by Secretary of the Navy <b><font size=-1>James Forrestal</font></b> (1892-1949) on his official letterhead. General toning; minor punctures in margin; else Fine. Accompanied by an intact Bronze Star Medal and a fine original US Army Signal Corps b/w, 10"x8" photograph of Infantry troops and tanks advancing through a French village in Normandy Aug 8, 1944, both added later to this very nice historical collection.

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,
whichever is higher.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped
immediately upon receipt of payment.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
authenticity by expert authenticators acceptable
