Czech VZ24 Bolt Action Romanian Contract Sniper Rifle with Russian Scope
These rifles were the first Czech produced military rifle for the Czech army and was based on the Mauser 98 action. This particular rifle is equipped with a Russian 4x6 sniper scope with long rubber eye piece. The scope has elevation and windage adjustments and a numbered reticle. The scope bases are soldered to the top of the receiver. The front ring is numbered to the gun, otherwise stamped "99" on the mounts and rings. The left side of the receiver ring is marked "E3 Rampant Dragon 38" over the serial number and the left receiver wall is marked "CESKOSLOVENSKA ZBROJOVKA,A.S, BRNO / VZ.24". Shrouded front sight and tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. Sling ring mounted on the left side and bottom of the rear barrel band and mounted with a pistol grip stock with matching handguard, flat iron buttplate and sling rings on the left wrist and bottom. Both sides of the stock are numbered to the gun. Complete with an original cleaning rod.

Condition: Fine. The rifle retains 10% faded original blue finish with wear on the barrel, bolt assembly and trigger guard. There are areas of smooth gray patina. The floor plate retains 25% finish and has a moderate dent near the trigger guard. The stock is good with overall minor gashes, dents and scratches. The scope is excellent with clear optics. The action is fine.
