Czech Model 52/57 Semi-Automatic Rifle
This model was produced at the BRNO factory starting in the 1952 and was the first Czech semi-automatic Army rifle. It was short lived and was replaced by the AK47. It has a five round detachable magazine, side mounted folding bayonet, military style adjustable rear sight and hooded front side, and detachable magazine. The receiver is marked "she" over a crossed sword Czech proof and "57", for year of manufacture over a circled "T" followed by the serial number. The right side is marked "VZ 52/57". The forward metal portion of the handguard, bolt and upper receiver cover have a battleship gray finish with the remaining parts parkerized. Mounted with a one piece hardwood pistol grip stock with partial wood and metal handguard.

Condition: Excellent. The rifle retains 99% parkerized and gray teflon style finishes with a few minor dings on the receiver cover. The stock and hand guard have been freshened with a coat of varnish and remains very fine with a few minor chips in the finish and a few minor dings. Crisp and clear markings. The action is excellent.
