Cutlery gripped dirk with blade marked “Alexander” and showing N.Y. and Shield stamped on reverse; blade is etched “Americans Pride, Equal Rights-Equal Laws- Equal Justice For All”; good to very goodscabbard missing button hanger; made for Civil War volunteers from N.Y. with unusual etching; scabbard also N.Y.-marked.
