Custom engraved, finished and stocked first generation Colt SAA revolver, by modern Master engraver Ken Hurst, 44-40 cal., 4-3/4” barrel, silver finish, raised carved early ivory grips, #99870. This outstandingly accomplished weapon shows magnificent scroll and full coverage on all parts of the gun including the intertwined letters “T” and “R” on the back of the recoil shield referencing a known Colt Single Action Army revolver that had the same marking and was the property of Theodore Roosevelt; the ejector rod ”donut”, cylinder pin and screws are all fire blued and the screws are engraved; the grips are finely raised carved and show an eagle on both sides. This work of art is signed by the engraver on the frame above the serial number. Est.: $4,000-$6,000.
