Custom big-game rifle on Winchester Pre-64 model 70 action and barrel, .375 Magnum H&H caliber, serial #500457. The rifle shows a 25” Winchester heavy round barrel mounted with iron rear sight, quick detachable clawmounts, with Leupold 4-power scope. The rifle is finely stocked in select burl walnut selected for strength of grain with some nice figuring in the right areas. The rifle is finely blued and well made. The stockmeasures 13-1/4” to the end of the wood, 14-1/4” to the end of the pad. Shows a horn pistol grip cap and folding high grade sling swivels. The action is good, bore is fine to excellent. The rifle shows the high qualityworkmanship that Mr. Robert Petersen recognized and appreciated. Although we cannot identify this rifle maker, he knew his business.
