Custom Winchester high-wall single-shot rifle, .22LR caliber, 26-7/8” heavy round #3 factory barrel, Winchester marked with factory pistol grip buttstock, set trigger, unusual walnut hill-type handmade forend,mounted with sling swivels, milled steel butt, unmarked Lyman type target scope numbered “578” on adjustable old unidentified mounts of high quality. The back of the action has been cut away and the breech block is a non-factory replacement. The gun is numbered “104776”. Approx. 85-90% original blue remains, traces of case hardening on lever, barrel has been shortened at least 2”. The buttstock is refinished and shows areplacement of wood at the heel. The stock measures 12-3/8” to the end of the wood, 12-5/8” to the end of the milled steel buttplate. Action is tight, bore excellent. An interesting target rifle with some oldcustomization. Note: Factory information original information indicates originally shipped .32-40, 30” round barrel, single set trigger, plain pistol rip, plain shotgun butt, nickel steel, shipped March 17th 1908,
