The BBL blue is of more recent vintage. The rifle is fitted with long range tang sight and spirit level front sight. The rifle weighs only 9.5 lbs and isbeautifully balanced. This rifle was formerly in the Alexander and Ken Fox collection of SS rifles in Southern CA. Old man Alexander was the best known shooter and collector of SS rifles from 1930-60s in Lomita, CA. KenFox acquired the gun in the 60s or 70s and had modern reconditioning performed during that period.
