Custom Engraved Silver Plated Walther Model PP Semi-Automatic Pistol
Manufactured in the 1960s, this pistol is decorated with almost full coverage oak leaf and acorn engraving with punch dot background, a dot border on the grip straps and zigzag bordering on the bottom of the frame. In addition the upper left side of the slide is engraved with "GEORGE S PATTON" flanked by a "T" over an inverted "C". The left side of the slide is marked "Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do. / Walther banner Modell PP Cal. 7.65 mm" in a panel and the following "Made in / W Germany" is covered by the engraving. The serial number is marked vertically on the right side of the frame behind the trigger. There are no other markings on the pistol. Fixed sights, blue magazine with black plastic finger extension, lanyard ring on the heel and fitted with black plastic checkered grips with the Walther banner at the top. As it is well known, General George S. Patton died December 21, 1945, 12 days after being in injured in an auto accident. This pistol was custom engraved by an unknown artisan as some tribute to General Patton.

Condition: Custom embellished with 99% silver finish remaining. The right grip panel does not fit properly, otherwise the grips are excellent with a few minor dings and crisp checkering. The engraving and markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
