This important memoir recounts its opportunistic author's early campaigns against the Cheyenne and culminates with his dealings with the Sioux.The binding is somewhat loose, with some wear to the cover edges, and slight chipping on either end of the spine. Nonetheless, this volume is scarce and attractive with its gilt buffalo head on the front cover. Good condition.
