<B>Edward S. Curtis Original Portfolio Photogravure "Group of Winter Dancers - Qágyuhl" Plate 348</B></I> on Zonen Holland Van Gelder paper, copyright 1914. Original image size 15.25" x 11.25" with the plate number at upper left, title at lower left, and captioned at the bottom "From Copyright Photograph 1924 by E. S. Curtis" and "Photogravure John Andrew & Son". Matted and custom framed to an overall size of 25.5" x 21.5". The Qágyuhl were photographed by Curtis and included in Volume 10 of <I>The North American Indian</B></I> where he commented about this photo "During a period of about four months, beginning usually in the middle of November, the members of the secret society devote themselves exclusively to the winter dances and the accompanying feasts, potlatches, payment of marriage debts, and other festivities. No work not absolutely essential to existence or to the progress of the ceremony is performed."
