TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, January 11, 1991. Letter to "Phil," in part (spelling retained): "Promises, promises! When you asked me to write introductions, three of them, I did it immediately, and though I am a writer who lives off his writing, I didn't asked for anything. You told me you would hunt around for cassettes with my pictures. I offered and still do, to pay for it. But I might have to turn to one of the outfits which advertises them. But I got lousy prints, which discurages me. Even the WOLFMAN, which I bought has the special effects eliminated, the transgression from man to wolfman. Is there a cassette which has those shots which are the most interesting ones, included? Gary Mank just mailed your book FRANKENSTEIN MEETS WOLFMAN for signatures, and James Clive, Colin Clive's grandson showed up asking for mementoes as I had a collection like Forry. Since I never collected anything of my past, it would be amusing for my grandchildren to look at grandfather's pictures. That would leave a trace behind. I also try to find a copy of MAGNETIC MONSTER, a picture which had half a page write-up in TIME MAGAZINE and started a trend in Sci-fi." In very fine condition.
