Curt Erickson Dagger with Ivory Handle
Curt Erickson began crafting handmade knives in 1983 under the tutelage of legendary knifemaker Buster Warenski, and became one of the youngest voting members of the Knifemakers' Guild. Today Erickson creates renowned art knives with his wife Julie. This Erickson dagger has a 5 3/4 inch blade marked "CURT ERICKSON / -UTAH-". The diamond shaped guard features an engraving on the edges with the engraver's initials "KS" on the underside. The spacer between the guard and handle is also engraved. The handle is fluted ivory and is adorned with twisted silver wire. This is an example of a dagger handcrafted by Erickson before he married Julie. OAL: 10 3/4"
