Currier and Ives were highly successful American Publishers based in New York City from 1835 to 1907 headed first by Nathaniel Currier, and later jointly with his partner James Ives.
They produced primarily Hand Colored Lithographs.

As any collector of Currier & Ives knows their images were so popular that as with anything, the Good Things get Faked. Which this is I don’t know. I do know this, it is a great image that appears historical, it was reframed by the Consignor with Museum Glass and Acid Free Paper.
