The only other appearance of a large note from here came when we sold the Colver collection back in 1999, when we noted that "We don't know what this will sell for, but if you are interested bring both money and determination." That example realized $13,200 against a pre-sale estimate of $3000-6000. The note we now offer is superior to the Colver note, which graded Very Fine with faded signatures. This piece grades a bright <B>Very Fine+,</B></I> with vibrant signatures that are easily readable. With the market even more attuned to grade and desirability than it was five years ago, any estimate is again just speculation, but it would not surprise us at all to see our likely conservative number again surpassed early in the bidding.
