Crystals Twist Uptown Autographed Stereo LP (Philles 90722, 1965). Phil Spector's most successful "girl group" released their first LP in 1962, which included their first charting hits, "Uptown" and "There's No Other (Like My Baby)." The group's biggest hit came later in 1962, with "He's A Rebel," which though credited to the Crystals was actually another Spector group, The Blossoms, with Darlene Love on lead vocals. Love is one of the storied names from the late '50s and early '60s era, providing lead vocals for the Blossoms and for Bobb B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans ("Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah"), and providing back up vocals for some of the biggest acts of the day, including Elvis, the Beach Boys, Sam Cooke, Dionne Warwick, and Sonny and Cher. Love has inscribed and autographed the front cover of this album. The record itself is the rarest of 3 variations of "Twist Uptown." Our offering is a stereo copy of the Capitol Record Club release in 1965, some three years after the album's original release. Condition: VG-EX 6 (tape at bottom)/ NM 8 (with a label stain on one side). Accompanied by a COA from PSA/DNA.

Shipping: Recordings (view shipping information)
