Elegant Crown Derby cup and saucer decorated with raised gilt flowers and intricate geometric patterns. Both cup and saucer are marked on the underside with mark used between 1877-1890. This set was made in a period of growth and diversification for Crown Derby. An impressive new factory opened in 1877 and new patterns, based on Indian and Persian designs, where introduced. Royal recognition followed and in 1890 Queen Victoria appointed Crown Derby as ?Manufacturers of Porcelain to Her Majesty? and the company added the word "Royal" to the Crown Derby name. Both cup and saucer are in very good condition as shown.

Measurements: Cup: 2.5" tall by 3" diameter, 3.8" including handle (6.4 cm tall, 7.5 diameter, 9.7 cm including handle); Saucer: 5" diameter, 1" tall (12.7 cm diameter, 2.5 cm tall) approximately.
