This is a Crow Native American horn dance wand from the Otto Ernst Collection. The piece shows a set of two steer horns on a hide wrapped wood stem with Buffalo Hair fringe having feather accents. The tomahawk is from circa early 1900. This was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming where the Ernst Family had the collection displayed.. The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming.
