This is a Crow Native American Indian dance wand. The piece shows two large antelope pronghorn horns across the top, brass trade bells, 1844 Bank of Montreal Half Penny Token, early 1800's glass trade seed beads (Cheyenne pink, greasy yellow, dark blue), on early read trade clothe. The dance staff also shows a ocher red dyed antelope rawhide and a twisted rawhide fringe wrap. Bottom shows long Buffalo fur strip and too has cut turkey feathers (put in place of original eagle feathers). Rare piece is from the fourth quarter of the 19th century. Measures 25.25"x16" with additional 28" Buffalo hide fur.
