Native-tanned hide. Made in 1994 by Rebecca Falls Down. Red ribbon award from Gallup Intertribal Indian Ceremonial - 1994. 30"x60" with partial leg hair at bottom. Split stitching meaning the stitching was done by passing the needle through the inside of the hide, not the exterior. Backside is plain. Used in a wedding ceremony in 1994. In twenty years of trading in the northern plains, this was the only such robe I was ever able to obtain. Appraised $2,500 in 2005.
