The lot features a set of early glass trade seed 1800's bead work from the Sioux Native American Indians. The set is only the bottom beaded wrist covers from the original gauntlet gloves. These are sewn with trade cotton and sinew on early trade cloth and Indian hide. The pieces were purchased and sold by Otto F. Ernst. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming. The pieces have a geometric teepee design showing a chalk white beaed background and fancy beaded edge. These are from circa 1890. Each measures 7”x5.75”
