This is a fully floral beaded belt from the Crow Native American Indians. The belt is tightly sinew sewn beaded with 19th century glass trade seed beads on a canvas base. This was purchased from the King Saddlery Museum in Sheridan, Wyoming where the Ernst Family had the collection displayed.. The pieces were original collected and sold by Otto F. Ernst in the 19th century. Otto Ernst was a renowned Saddle Maker and would purchase Native American items to sell in his Saddle shop and Catalog. Otto Ernst Saddlery Sheridan, Wyoming. Belt is from circa 1890. Original museum tag. Measures 23"l and 4 3/8"w.
