This is an early Crow Native American Indian beaded horse’s bridle foretop from circa 1880. The piece was recovered at Pryor Creek in the 1930’s (per the tag info) and is from the Pryor Museum. The piece would have sat atop the horses head and would have been a part of the extremely rare beaded horses bridle. The piece shows excellent 19th Century glass trade seed beads in greasy yellow, chalk white, translucent rose, medium green, and dark blue. The piece is done on Indian tanned hide and shows tin jingle cones with mineral red dyed Buffalo Hair. This measures 14.75"x3.5" (with jingle cones). The tag that came with the piece is shown in the pictures.
