The lot features a set of beaded moccasins hand crafted by Rena May Morning of the Montana Crow Apsaalooke Native American Indians. The set, which dates to the mid-1900's shows a tanned hide construction with harness saddle leather soles bearing the tag of the maker Rena May Morning. The beadwork has a nice typical floral rose pattern in red, bown and two shades of green with a fancy beaded edge of violet. All the beads are glass trade seed beads. Overall the set shows a nice preserved good condition and expert craftsmanship. Provenance: From one of the best and largest American Indian collection in Montana, located in Billings. Measures overall 5.5"L across the sole 7"H at the ankle and 2.75"W at the foot.
