Lot of five. 1) Clear Creek. Idaho Springs. The North American Mining Company, incorporated under the laws of the State of Colorado. Certificate No. 2189, signed by A.H. Corbett as President. Unissued. Vignette of spread-winged eagle clutching stars and stripes shield. Black border with green seal and safety print. 8 x 11". Printer: Goes/W.H. Kistler. Company owned the Edgar and other mines and two tunnels. The Central Tunnel was 9,454 ft. Long and offered transportation, drainage, and development facilities for its own mines as well as those of other companies along the line. Ore carried gold, silver, lead, and copper. They also owned property in Gilpin, Boulder, and San Juan Counties. (Mines Handbook, 1931, pp. 823-24). Excellent condition. 2) Cripple Creek. Teller County. The Gold Mines Company, incorporated under the laws of the State of Wyoming. Certificate No. 415 issued to L.S. Wilson for 2,000 shares on December 6, 1901. Signed by John Downing as President and (illegible) as Secretary. No Vignette, black print on white paper. Cancelled by rubber stamp and punch holes through signatures. Endorsed by L.S.
