This Fenton vase is an example of early--and rare--Fenton crystal crest!

This vase is of ivory-colored glass in a flared and crimped shape. It is of 1910-1920s vintage. The clear cresting on the edge presages what we have seen on later 20th century glassware from companies such as Fenton.

The vase is 5 1/2 inches tall and measures 3 1/2 inches from one edge of the ruffle to the other. It has a 2 3/4-inch neck, a 4-inch bowl, and a 1 3/4-inch base. It has a 1/2-inch self-foot.

The vase is decorated on the bowl with an applied mosaic type of beading in the design of violets with leaves. With the crystal crest edging, the overall effect is delicate and lovely!

The vase is unmarked and all areas (including the beading) are in excellent condition, remarkable for its age!
