Cradle board from an Apache tribe, post-WWII construction, c1940s-1960s. Bent hardwood branches make the outer frame with hand-cut hardwood slats for the base and "brow" that protected the baby's head in case of accidental dropping. Cotton canvas covering has commercially made rickrack and piping sewn on by machine. Cloth edges are machine-stitched as well. The hand-stitching of the head shade is separating from the slatted brow piece. Otherwise this items is in good, though used, condition. Overall dimensions are approx 32 x 13 x 13 inches. See photos for design details. Thanks to Norm DeLorme for description details.
