<B>Covington, GA</B></I> - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 652 <B>The First NB</B></I> Ch. # (S)8945<BR> This is an excessively rare note from a bank which issued large notes only until its demise in 1925. The census documents only two notes on this bank and this is one of them. The other is a $5 charitably described as Good-VG in a 1996 auction. This example which can be traced to the Rome Collection of Georgia Nationals, is far superior, grading a nice <B>Fine-Very Fine </B></I>with lightly stamped purple signatures.
